a tribute to our dear gran and papa
To start the story my gran was brought up in Coatbridge known as Betty Mcgowan. She married a
Baillieston man, Peter Innes ,they went on to have six children 4 boys 2 girls . Our papa was taken
away from us on 19 Jan 1972 age 43 the rest of the family remained in Kirkshaws, where they went on
to have 13 grandchildren so you could say we were a big happy familiy, till the day we got news of
more heart ache my gran was diagnosed with cancer but used the phrase,I'm living with cancer
not dying with it . My gran stayed strong during that time , She went to Lourdes with her 2
daughters and son.But not long after returning on the 7 Sep 1994 my papa called my gran home for she
had gave us the best years a gran could and it was time for her to be reunited with our papa, one of
her closest friends Mick Harty wrote our angel in disguise
so enjoy ur rest gran and papa till we meet again your loving family
a loving heart stopped beating
as we watched you slip away
our heart were truly broken
as you fought so hard to stay
god saw you were so tired
the cure was not to be
he put his arms around you
and whispered come to me
